3 Days Lodge Safari
This 3-day lodge safari adds a third park to the classic 2-day Tarangire and Ngorongoro combination: Lake Manyara National Park, a compact but surprisingly diverse park known for its lush groundwater forest, large troops of baboons, flamingos along the lake shore, and the tree-climbing lions that have made it famous. Combined with Tarangire’s elephant herds and baobabs and the Ngorongoro Crater’s concentrated Big Five wildlife, this itinerary gives a well-rounded introduction to Northern Tanzania’s parks without venturing as far as the Serengeti.
The extra day over our 2-Day Tanzania Lodge Safari means a more relaxed pace, with two nights based in the Karatu area rather than a single overnight, and a dedicated day for Lake Manyara on the return leg toward Arusha. Travelers who want to add the Serengeti itself should look at our 4-Day Tanzania Lodge Safari, which covers the same three parks plus a night inside the Serengeti.
